White Apple Kool-Aid, Take 2.
I have nothing but praise for the repair people at Apple: my Powerbook, which had developed the dreaded white spot syndrome, came back working perfectly and sporting a brandy-new LCD today, after having been picked up Tuesday. 2 days ago. That is some impressive turnaround. Kudos, kudos, kudos.
NB: for those 2 days, I had to use my Windows laptop at work, and all I can say is: Good Christ. I mean, Cygwin makes that shit just barely tolerable. Not usable, just tolerable. Uck. Thank God I had a Linux box at home.
