Fatal harvest

From Slow Food USA, in regards to proposed USDA "grass-fed" standards:

Ultimately, I believe that grass fed should mean animals humanely raised in grass pastures from birth to harvest, the way nature intended.

Ah, the latest euphemism. What that should read is "birth to slaughter", not harvest. but then again, that'd remind you that the animal, at the end of all that humane treatment, was killed. No, actually, it was harvested. I am almost tempted to write the USDA and support the bill.
